Light:
It flourishes best in bright, indirect light to partial light shade.

Soil:
It grows well in a cactus potting mix. Use a pot with good drainage.

Water:
Water your plant regularly during the growing season and always keep the soil evenly moist but never allow your plant to sit in water. You can allow the topsoil to become slightly dry between each watering. During the winter months, reduce watering.

Temperature:
It thrives well in optimal room temperatures are 18 degrees Celsius – 24 degrees Celsius. Also can tolerate cooler temperatures even as low as 10°C in winter while the plant is dormant.

Fertilizer:
Fertilize the plant every month with a weak solution of balanced fertilizer that is for cacti and succulents rich in potassium and phosphorous, but poor in nitrogen, because this chemical element doesn’t help the development of succulent plants, making them too soft and full of water.

Propagation:
It can be easily propagated by stem cuttings. Take 3-4 inch of stem tip cuttings. Strip 3-4 leaves from the bottom of the cutting and place in or on moist potting mix and roots should quickly develop at each node. Mist the soil surface to avoid overwatering until the roots are established. This plant can also be grown from seed.

Pests and Diseases:
The string of beads has no serious pest or disease problems. They can occasionally be affected by scale and mealy bugs.
